Where Innovation Takes Shape.

Lundell Plastics Expands Capabilities;
Adds Additional Thermoforming Machine

03-23-16

ODEBOLT, Iowa - Lundell Plastics has always been known for producing quality, innovative products for the agriculture and industrial industries and 2016 is no different. The Iowa-based plastics manufacturer has added an additional thermoforming machine that will allow for greater control and more precise parts as well as an increase in production capacity.

The new equipment, a MAAC Comet thermoforming machine, is the company’s second MAAC and will increase Lundell Plastics’ production efficiency and thermoforming capabilities. “We’ve already seen an increase in efficiency with the machine,” said production manager Matt Roeder.

Roeder went on to say, “Our new machine is slightly smaller than our other machine and therefore is more efficient on the smaller parts we produce. Lundell runs larger parts on another thermoforming machine. With more companies finding out about our low cost in-house tooling production capabilities, we are seeing an increase in demand from OEM’s for various parts. This increase in demand has prompted the need for more capacity. With the additional machine we should be able to accommodate new demand and still maintain quick turnaround times. We are excited about the new equipment and look forward to putting it to the test this year.”

Lundell Plastics, which was incorporated in 1981, is currently celebrating their 35th year in business. Innovative ideas continue to emerge out of the company’s headquarters in Odebolt, Iowa, and due to their dedication to innovation and great customer service, Lundell Plastics continues to see growth.
